Information For Runners

Maltings Meadow Sports Ground, Ditchingham, Bungay (directions/site-plan

•  Parking: Car park adjacent to site, please follow marshal's instructions. See Site Plan

•  Tshirts: Pre-ordered and sales on the day - In marquee. See Site Plan

•  Fees: Affiliated Club: £13 fee Non Affiliated: £15 fee
£ 3 surcharge for entries on the day Deadline for entries 29 March 2008 Cheques payable to Bungay Black Dog Marathon

•  Changing, showers, toilets: in Club House - open from 8.30.

•  Massage in marquee on site

•  Baggage: Manned facility near finish

•  Personal Drinks for Marathon Runners: Name/Race Number and Feed Station Number (see course map) on container – deliver to Late Entries (by blue pavilion) by 9.45 please. 

•  Refreshments: Bar, teas etc in Club House. Other catering outside

•  Warming up: Please keep off the pitches – there is space around the perimeter of the site

•  The course: SEAA measured – 2 laps for Marathon , 1 for Half. See Course Map/Profile

Please run on the left unless directed otherwise – be alert to normal road traffic. Marathon - there will be a half way cut off at 2h 30m. Marshals will stand down after 5 hours – the course will remain signed

•  Start times: 10.30 Marathon , 12.30 Half Marathon - on road outside site. Assemble 10 mins before start and listen for announcements

•  Finish: Separate funnels for Full and Half, please follow marshal's directions

•  Prizes: Awards in all categories - times to be announced on the day.

•  Fun Run: Register on day in marquee - 10.40 start – memento for all finishers – sorry no dogs

•  Photographs – www.digitography.co.uk

•  Charity: RadioBroadlandKids who raise money to help disadvantaged youngsters in Norfolk and north Suffolk.

•  Christian African Relief Trust (CART) – there will be a collection point on club house veranda for recycling your Tshirts, clothing, trainers (tied together please) Further info www.cartyorkshire.co.uk

•  Your wellbeing: Remember do not run if you are feeling unwell, have been ill or have an injury. Keep well hydrated before, during and after the race.

•  Please do not exercise dogs on the playing field – there is the car park field & off site - thanks
